The Division of Hematology, Oncology and Cell Therapy at Rush University Medical Center is seeking two Breast Oncologists or Hematologist/Oncologists to join the Rush University Cancer Center. One position is open for junior candidates at the assistant professor level or above. The ideal candidate for the second position will have experience practicing in an academic medical center with academic productivity commensurate with current faculty rank.  The predominant criteria for all appointments are a major commitment to research, teaching, and patient satisfaction, excellence in clinical care, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service. The successful candidates will possess professional qualifications that include: Oncology or Hematology/Oncology training with board certification, MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), and have experience in clinical and translational research.    

Our new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center facility in Chicago will serve as a hub for services throughout our health system. Our core programs are supported by multi-disciplinary teams from medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, research and bioinformatics, clinical operations, and dedicated clinical and support staff, including patient navigators. This structure allows specialists to more easily consult and see patients based on tumor type or molecular and genomic signatures, combining our outstanding multidisciplinary approach with a data infrastructure that supports this patient-centered care. This integration enables us to make a greater commitment to research, dramatically scaling the effectiveness of clinical trials, and enabling translational research that moves bench to bedside, and bedside to bench.
