Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in Chicago, invites applications for the Dermatology Residency Program Director position.
Rush Dermatology seeks a candidate to direct the training of future dermatology physicians. The Residency Program Director will be responsible for residency program operations, curriculum, policies and procedures, maintaining ACGME accreditation, residency recruitment, and evaluations. The Director will also participate in oversight of the budget process and supervision of the program coordinator. Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board certified in Dermatology, and have least three years of experience educating dermatology residents or fellows. Faculty appointment and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
The Rush Dermatology Residency is a nationally recognized leader in education, training residents to practice at the highest level of dermatology. The ACGME-accredited residency program includes seven residents who have their primary clinical outpatient experience at Rush University Medical Center with rotations on inpatient consults, dermatological and Mohs surgery, and dermatopathology. We have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and research. The residency fosters a supportive environment where residents build skills in clinical dermatology across a broad spectrum of cutaneous diseases.
Rush Dermatology includes of nine full-time and 15 part-time and affiliated faculty members. We play an integral role in the core mission of Rush University Medical Center. Faculty have a range of interests, including psoriasis, skin cancer, autoimmune blistering diseases, connective tissue diseases, skin of color, oncodermatology, hidradenitis suppurativa, vasculitis, and vitiligo, which fosters a rich educational environment. The division also offers a wide range of aesthetic services and procedures.
