The Emergency Department at Rush Oak Park Hospital is currently recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team. With an annual volume of more than 47,000 patients, the Emergency Department is well-staffed with an average of 58 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of mid-level provider coverage daily. The newly built emergency room was opened in October 2019 has 22 private rooms. Emergency Medicine (EM) APPs are employed by the hospital and receive a competitive benefits package, CME allowance and paid time off. The Emergency Department is committed to delivering excellent, patient-focused care in a collegial and cooperative atmosphere. Our affiliation with Rush University Medical Center allows for easy transfers of patients requiring tertiary care. Rush Oak Park Hospital is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago and in a desirable residential neighborhood.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush Oak Park Hospital patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the ROPH medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush University Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

With 2 Directors of Advanced Practice and 27 Lead APPs across the system, Rush’s vision is to have every APP practicing at full scope and top of license.
