The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center in downtown Chicago. IL is seeking Physician Scientists to lead the development of basic, translational and clinical research programs. Opportunities are available in the areas of:

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Neuro-Muscular

  • Stroke

  • Critical Care

  • Epilepsy

  • Neuro-Oncology

  • Neuro-Genetics

  • Behavioral Neurology 

These positions include a research focused appointment with clinical activities on Rush University’s main campus.

Qualified candidates are Board Certified and incoming at the Associate Professor or Professor level with a successful track record of grant funding. They will be considered for leadership positions within the department, commensurate with experience. These recruitments are part of a key strategic growth initiative within the Department of Neurological Sciences and competitive salary as well as generous startup funds are available.

The Rush Department of Neurological Sciences is a large academic department with more than 100 faculty, spanning across neurologic specialties, giving the opportunity for the MS Center to collaborate with other neurology specialists. Rush has made a commitment to significantly grow the neuroscience program and footprint regionally and nationally, including with a new ambulatory building scheduled to open in 2022.
