Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Clinical Neuropsychologist.
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is recruiting faculty for a tenure-track full-time position in the Section of Neuropsychology. This position offers rank and salary commensurate with experience. Eligible candidates should be board certified or eligible. Activities will include provision of clinical services, supervision of post-doctoral fellows and interns in neuropsychological assessment as well as neuropsychological intervention. Research and scholarly activities will be expected. For the interested candidate, opportunities to teach in the medical school may also be available.
Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and previous accomplishments. The position is available April 1, 2023, but later start dates are possible, including for those who are completing their postdoctoral fellowships this summer.
Rush Medical College received its charter in 1837, shortly before the City of Chicago received its own charter. Formal training of neuropsychologists at Rush began in the 1960s. Over 40 neuropsychologists who have trained or worked at Rush have received their diplomate in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. The internship in clinical psychology at Rush has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1967.
