Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical College located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for full-time position of Otologist/Neurotologist
The Division of Otology, Neurology, and Lateral Skull Base Surgery is supported by a group of 8 experienced audiologists. The successful applicant must be board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has completed an accredited fellowship in Otology/Neurotology. The candidate will have an opportunity to build a robust clinical practice encompassing all aspects of otology/neurotology at main campus and regional sites, to teach residents, medical students, and audiology students, and to develop a successful research program. The faculty will serve as an integral member of the highly successful Acoustic Neuroma Program and Auditory Implant Program. The department recently launched a state-of-the art temporal bone lab through a $1M philanthropic grant and is opening a new neurotology ambulatory clinic at main campus. Candidates at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor are encouraged to apply for this position.
The selected individual will have an opportunity to join a department of 17 full-time clinical faculty and 6 APPs spanning the entire spectrum of otorhinolaryngology subspecialties at main campus and 6 regional sites. The department is planning to add 3 new faculty over the next year and 2 additional regional sites with its ongoing clinical expansion. The program is currently ranked #34 on US News and World Report and is the highest ranked program in the state of Illinois.
