Rush has a very robust Maternal-Fetal center and recruits high risk mothers from across the Midwest.  The 16 bed PICU is staffed by in-house intensivists and supports both a busy neurosurgical and cardiac surgical practice.  Rush currently is an ELSO certified center of excellence for ECMO.   All pediatric subspecialty practices are represented within the Department of Pediatrics and the pediatric residency program is one of the highest rated in Chicago.
