Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for a full-time faculty position to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Disorders Service and Research Center. The qualified candidate will be fellowship trained in pulmonary/critical care, as well as sleep medicine. The candidate will join the current team of 26 faculty members to further enhance and grow the outpatient practice as well as share in the coverage of the hospital’s critical care and inpatient pulmonary needs. The outpatient activities will be dedicated to sleep medicine. The percentage of effort dedicated to inpatient pulmonary critical care or outpatient sleep medicine can be tailored to the candidate’s career goals. Teaching and supervising medical students, residents and fellows will be an important educational activity as RUSH has an ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine fellowship with 2 fellows per year. The Center is fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and has a behavioral sleep medicine-accredited training program as well. In addition, RUSH has an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship with four fellows per year and an ACGME-accredited Critical Care fellowship with two fellows per year. Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
