The Division of Infectious Diseases at Rush University Medical Center is expanding. We are recruiting for a tenure-track physician faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to clinical care and education, and will concentrate in the prevention and management of infectious diseases in solid-organ transplant recipients, stem-cell transplant recipients and other immunocompromised hosts. The transplant infectious diseases position will include inpatient and outpatient consultations focused on immunocompromised patients, as well as participation in administrative activities such as quality assurance and infection prevention, guideline development, research, and teaching. Candidates must have completed an ACGME approved Infectious Disease fellowship program and be board eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases. Completion of formal training in transplant infectious diseases is desirable. The position offers competitive salary, comprehensive benefits and an academic appointment commensurate with experience.

Rush is the home of The Chicago Prevention and Intervention Epicenter (Chicago PIE), a multimillion dollar CDC-funded research program with the overarching goal of preventing healthcare-associated infections. We collaborate with investigators across the nation to advance the field of infection prevention and discover new ways to protect patients.
