The Rush University College of Nursing (https://www.rushu.rush.edu/college-nursing) invites applications for the position of faculty member for the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program within the Department of Community, Systems and Mental Health Nursing. Expectations and emphasis for this position include teaching, student advising, service to the University and related scholarly activity. Rush is renowned for its Practitioner-Teacher model and faculty practice opportunities can be accommodated. The Program is ranked #1 for 2019 by U.S. News & World Report. Students entering the Program graduate with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP).The appointment of academic rank and salary are dependent on prior experience and achievements.

This is a 12-month faculty position.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

Position responsibilities include:

·         Clinical Practice

·         Teaching and education.

·         Student advising.

·         Service to the University and the College.

·         Scholarly activity.

 QUALIFICATIONS

·         Position qualifications include:

·         Earned doctorate (e.g., DNP, Ph.D.).

·         National certification (or eligibility for national certification) as an Psychiatric/Mental

·         Health Nurse Practitioner.

·         At least two years of advanced practice nursing experience.
