Neonatology - Medical Director

The Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center in downtown Chicago is seeking a full-time, experienced neonatologist and medical director to join our faculty. Special consideration will be given to candidates with advanced clinical and leadership experience. The Renée Schine Crown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level 3 (highest IL designation), 72 bed (single roomed), state-of-the-art unit. We care for critically ill infants who are born at Rush and/or transferred in from network hospitals, from extremely preterm infants to those with complex surgical needs cared for prenatally by our Fetal-Neonatal Center.

The ideal candidate will be an established neonatologist, have proven leadership skills and eligible for a faculty appointment at the Associate Professor level or above. The candidate will have research interests that align with the productive NICU Human Milk research team at Rush. Current areas of investigation include human milk science; lactation physiology; disparities in lactation outcomes; clinical, neurodevelopmental and economic outcomes associated with human milk feedings for very low birth weight infants; donor milk; and maternal, infant and milk microbiome. Applicants should be Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatrics, and qualified for an appointment to the faculty at Rush University Medical School.
