The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Surgeon Scientist to join its team at the assistant professor rank or higher. Qualified candidates should possess Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and have a successful track record of grant funding.  The ideal candidate will possess strong academic and clinical credentials and excellent communication and facilitation skills. The selected candidate will play a key role in serving as Director of Research for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, developing a basic and translational science laboratory, and a clinical outcomes program. This position includes a research focused appointment with protected research time and the opportunity to practice clinically at the Rush Main campus and its affiliated sites. The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Rush University is rapidly expanding, and comprised of academic faculty who practice in a team-based atmosphere. The candidate will benefit from the multitude of resources available including: state of the art microsurgery and lymphedema equipment, advanced practice providers, research fellows, and support staff.
