RUSH University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for RUSH Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Health Equity – Project Coordinator.


The Health Equity Project Coordinator works with students within the Health Equity and Social Justice Leadership Program on their projects.  


Responsibilities and Duties

Specific Responsibilities


  • Lead student projects for the M1, M2, M3, and M4 years.
  • Organize students into project groups and assists them with finding a community partner for their longitudinal project.
  • Sets expectations for students, assisting with project scope, creating and grading assignments, assisting students with work timelines, and project evaluation.
  • Guide students through creating scholarly work from their projects.
  • Keep a running log of projects from past years and scholarly work from previous years.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Medical doctorate
  • Experience in teaching students


Compensation? 

This position is awarded 5% buy down from clinical work for educational involvement, which corresponds to approximate 100 hours of time across the year.
